This Standard specifies requirements for the cold-rolled stainless steel plates and sheets (hereafter referred to as plates) and cold-rolled stainless steel strip (hereafter referred to as strip).

ISO 9445-2 : 2009 Continuously cold-rolled stainless steel — Tolerances on dimensions and form — Part 2 : Wide strip and plate/sheet (overall evaluation : MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
